WRITING WORKSHOPS FOR ALL AGES


Writing workshops are instructional sessions that focus on the elements of writing short fiction including three-part story structure, character, point of view, plot, conflict, resolution; and/or nonfiction including personal narratives; biography; how-to’s; alphabet and number books; and content based magazine articles. Workshop topics include: ideas and content; organization; voice; word choice; sentence fluency; conventions; and presentation.

Workshops for young writers are developmentally appropriate and aligned with curriculum objectives. Sessions can take place during a school day or in an after school program, summer school program, and/or as a part of a writer-in-residence program.

Workshops are also offered for adults aspiring to write for the children's marketplace.



All programs can be customized meet your needs and fees are negotiable to suit your budget and correlated to Common Core State Standards, Common Core College and Career Readiness Standards, and all State Standards.
